Automatic Distribution Frames
Products > Automatic Distribution Frames
Connecting the customer line to the equipment providing the services has always been a labour intensive bottleneck in all Telecommunication organisations. The need to manually run wire jumpers creates massive costs in service provision processes and also accounts for the biggest cost of failure in major telecommunication operations. Technicians running jumpers make mistakes. Lowly paid technicians make even more mistakes.
The UTEL Automatic Distribution Frame is truly revolutionary. It uses a robot in place of a technician to make connections between IDC strips. The robot uses conventional twisted pair jumper wire to make connections. It can also remove redundant jumpers and places them in a recycling bin. Unlike a human operator, our robot is on duty 24/7 and does not make mistakes; it is truly meticulous about its work. It can electronically check every jumper connection and will automatically update the frame wiring records without fail. Our ADF is also unique in that it is totally failsafe. Should the robot fail for any reason, existing customer services are not affected and a human operator can run jumpers in its place.
