Integrated FTTB Solutions
Providing a fibre to a small DSLAM in a multi-occupancy building is potentially a cost effective means of providing high speed VDSL services to customers. The cost of faulting customer in-building circuits can however be huge. Multi-occupancy buildings will also generally house a mix of customers with different service requirements. There is therefore, also a requirement to be able to remotely rewire the customer circuits at the building level.
UTEL has developed an integrated FTTC solution that is modularly expandable for different building sizes. This provides customer circuit rewiring functionality as well as TAM, a copper testhead, alarm collection and power and thermal management.
